The Silvereye is a small olive-green bird with a distinctive white ring around the eye. They feed on fruit and nectar and are common in orchards and domestic gardens. They are common in Tasmania during summer, but migrate north to avoid the cold winters. Silvereyes symbolise adaptability, growth and clear sightedness.
