The Scarlet Robin is endemic to southern coastal Australia, where it favours eucalyptus woodlands. It is territorial and monogamous. The female builds the nest and incubates the eggs while the male brings her food, then they both feed their offspring. The males are distinctive with their black, white and scarlet red plumage. Robins are symbolic of hope, renewal and joy.
